Typical Evaporative Cooling Model

AirBTU designs and provides direct contact, adiabatic gas coolers for hot, acid gas streams. Tower construction in fiberglass, alloy, and FRP/acid brick.  Unique wet wall, spray towers with flooded walls and refractory gas nozzle provides for cooling of acid gases from 1200F to near saturation. Recirculation water nozzles are SS or C22 alloy and have minimum 3/4” nozzle orifice opening. Hot gas inlet nozzles are acid resistant cast refractory or suitable material. CFD modeling provides definition of temperature profile within the tower and the open-tower design with no internals is suitable for contaminated gas streams.
